Events hosted by North London AC

North London AC and Muswell Hill Runners between them promoted several of events every year, please see the London Heathside AC site for the latest details.

The old North London events were:

• Road Races
  • Hampstead Midsummer 10k
  • Finsbury Park 5k
• Track and Field Meets
• Cross-Country Races

Our most popular event is the Hampstead Midsummer 10k, around the Hampstead Heath extension. This event is increasing in popularity, and we had nearly 250 entrants in the 1999 race. The 2000 race took place on 18th June, the entry form is here.

Finsbury Park 5k

This last took place on 14th July 1998, the results of which are here. This race has been superseded by the Finsbury Park 5, which was originally promoted by Muswell Hill Runners.

Track and Field Meets

We usually host a number of events at our home track in Finsbury Park during the summer, and since 1999 we have promoted four Open Track Meets every year.

Cross Country Races

We don't usually host any cross-country events, but our home territory of Parliament Hill/Hampstead Heath is used for the North London, Greater London, South of England and (sometimes) English National Championships, for the which the course designer and Clerk of the Course is our very own Ron Lambert.
